Dewdrop is often mistaken as being "airheaded" due to being quiet and daydreaming a lot. However, she's actually very intelligent and cunning, often able to pull off complex schemes for herself without much help. She's very humble and kind by nature, but she's aware that people mistake this as weakness and will use that to her advantage to gain knowledge and access. She gets easily frustrated with her own physical abilities and will sometimes undermine her own mental strength due to feeling useless or unworthy. She's very emotionally strong, but due to continual isolation is very lonely.
Biography:
Dewdrop was born the princess of a deep sea kingdom, blind due to a genetic conditions that left her without irises and pupils. However, she was a happy child and beloved by her family. Growing up she was incredibly weak and her growth was stunted - she ended up being diagnosed with a chronic illness that would leave her disabled with age.
Despite her disabilities, Dewdrop was a very kind and playful child who always had polite things to say, and as she got older she sought to be as good of a person as she could be to her citizens. Her parents were incredibly overprotective though and never let her go outside due to her illness, so she often became lonely. Trouble started as a teenager when she developed a beating heart that sat over her chest, with an eye right in the center.
This wasn't considered abnormal at first - deep sea creatures developed odd growths all the time as apart of species. However, Dewdrop began to find herself clueing into the thoughts and emotions of others without meaning too, and being overcome with strange visions and premonitions as to things that would happen.
Her concerned parents discovered that she had been blessed with a rare psychic growth that was allowing to read thoughts + emotions and sporadically see versions of the future. While they tried to keep it hidden, word eventually got out to other members of the royal circle, and Dewdrop began to find herself being approached by adults trying to manipulate and use her as if she was a child.
She was intelligent and rarely let herself get roped into plans to use her abilities for malice - however, life was becoming more and more dangerous, and her parents were becoming overbearing and snappy in their attempts to keep her safe. She was incredibly stressed - and thus, when she became an adult, Dewdrop dropped everything and fled the castle in secret, escaping to a small distant village and posing as someone different.
Due to her never leaving the house, no citizens truly knew what she looked like, and she was able to obtain necessities in public without being recognized. The royal family and associates started a hunt for her, spreading rumors that she was planning to use her abilities to commit treason, so she limits her contact with people and stays at home or in isolated fields for the most part. While she can take care of herself, she is often lonely and in pain, and meeting her girlfriend Absinthe would help give her something to find hope in.
